Who We Are

Built by TradeMark Africa, For Every Trader

About iSOKO

iSOKO started with a simple finding: across Africa, women and youth traders struggled to reach new markets, find reliable trade information, and go digital. Most operated informally — relying on word of mouth, and losing time and money to slow logistics, financing gaps, and confusing border rules.

TradeMark Africa built iSOKO to close those gaps. The platform brings trade information, e-commerce, logistics, and business tools together in one place, so traders can move from informal trading to running a digital business — openly, and across borders.

Since launching in March 2023, iSOKO has grown to 100,000+ registered traders, with over 70% women and youth-led. The platform runs in partnership with leading trade associations and chambers of commerce in each of its seven countries.

About TradeMark Africa

TradeMark Africa (TMA) is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 2010 to grow trade and economic integration across the continent. Working with governments, the private sector, and development partners, TMA works to cut trade barriers, improve transport and logistics, and make it easier for businesses to grow.

Headquartered in Nairobi, TMA operates in twenty African countries and is one of the continent's leading trade facilitation organisations.

iSOKO is TMA's flagship platform for closing the digital divide — making sure women, youth, and small businesses aren't left behind as trade goes digital. It gives traders the connectivity, digital skills, and tools they need to trade confidently across Africa's borders, wherever they're based.
